Lads to Leaders

The goal of Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes is to provide churches of Christ with effective, year-round leadership training tools that can be adapted to individual congregational needs.
Students are encouraged to become more involved at their home congregation through our year-round events (Bible Reading, Bulletin Board, Speech, Song Leading/Songs of Praise and Puppets).

The purpose of Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes is to help local congregations instill the Word of God into youth and adults so that they will stand firm in the faith.  Teaching students to do “Bible things in Bible ways” is the essence of Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes.

Overall Theme:

From Ruth 3:5 – All that you say to me, I will do. The thought behind the overall theme for 2017 is to encourage everyone to have an overall attitude and mindset of being a servant and doing for others first before considering themselves. In the context of this verse, Ruth is telling her mother-in-law, Naomi, that she is dedicated to her and is there to serve as needed. A few verses later, she actually calls herself a servant in a conversation with Boaz.

Bible Bowl:

Ruth, Esther, Job – The 2017 Bible Bowl questions, test questions, and final round questions will be worded from the New King James Version ONLY.

Pearls Study Series:

The Lord Has Done This – Pearls is a 13-Lesson classroom or individual study of the chosen Bible book for the current convention year.

Debate:

Resolved: The New Testament teaches that a person who has been saved can fall from grace and be lost.
